Halford Luccock claims that he bumped into a department store Santa Claus. This one had no cotton whiskers or red coat. In fact, he was a she, overloaded with gifts for the children and the relatives and just about everybody else. As Luccock picked up the packages and offered his apologies, she grumbled, “I hate Christmas, anyhow. It turns everything upside down.”1 It certainly does, as least in the visit of the Wise-men.
